Mrs. Wright passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at PruittHealth -Toomsboro. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023, 1:00 pm from Jordan Stream Baptist Church on 17105 GA. Hwy 112 Toomsboro, GA. Visitation will be Dec 7th-10th between the hours of 4pm-8pm at 3485 Popular Spring Church Road Toomsboro, Ga. Public viewing will be Sunday December 10, 2023 12:00 pm -6:00 pm
Mrs. Rosetta Strange Wright was born to the late Mr. Troy Lee and Maebell Strange on September 25th, 1942. She was the second oldest of eight children. On December 6th, 2023, she answered the call from her heavenly father, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 81 years old. Mrs. Rosetta Strange Wright joined Jordan Stream Baptist Church at an early age. During her life she was a dedicated church member where she served in the Mass choir and a member of the missionary department. Her favorite hobbies were spending time with her children and grandchildren, traveling, Chinese Checkers, canning, gardening, fishing, attending church events and family gathering. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Isiah “Sonny” Wright. In this union was blessed with two daughters Marian Wright and Marilyn Wright.
She is survived by her beloved children Marian Wright of Toomsboro, GA, Marilyn Pitts (Burce) of Gordon, GA, a bonus daughter Sonya Marie Wright of Akron, OH. She has eight siblings in which four preceded her in death. The late Nathaniel L. Strange, Ellis Charles Strange, Evelyn Daniels, and Beatrice Foreman. She is survived by two sisters Essie Lee Strange Daniels (Nathaniel), Elizabeth Strange; two brothers, Benjamin Strange Sr. (Laner), Rev. Willie T. Strange Sr. all of Toomsboro, GA; sister-in-laws, Mary Kemp Strange, Carolyn Whipple Strange, both of Irwinton, GA; brother-in-law, Carl Wright (Lilly) of Macon, GA; two uncles Jasper Carswell of Toomsboro, GA, and Ivey Carswell (Evelyn) of South Carolina. Rosetta is survived by five grandchildren, Carlos Burke (Anyeshka), Raven Burke, Javen Pitts, Kristen Pitts, and Chasidy Burke. Eight great grandchildren, Kallyn Lewis, Zion Burke, Jaden Payne, Kylah Lewis, Carlin Burke, Alayah Pounds, Amelia Gardner, and Baylee Pickett; and host of nieces and nephews.
